General Manager

PPS Property Services 

Philadelphia Area/Baltimore Area 

PPS Property Services is seeking a General Manager to lead the company’s growing property and asset management business.  This work supports our parent company’s social impact real estate development platform in the Mid Atlantic Region. The GM role is a dynamic leadership position that is ideal for a candidate looking to grow into a career in real estate development and management.  The GM will manage a small team, including the leaders of the company’s four lines of business.  The position includes full P&L responsibility and a high level of autonomy in all aspects of the company’s growth and operations. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and adaptable with a strong background in leadership and operations management.  Experience with modest-sized construction projects is helpful. The candidate should also be growth and team oriented as the company expects to double its revenue in the coming year. 



  • Oversee all aspects of property and asset management for BDP (parent company) and third-party management clients, including small and mid-sized construction projects

  • Manage accounting staff to ensure accurate financial reporting on all assets under management

  • Manage key investor and client relationships to ensure a high level of stakeholder satisfaction

  • Identify new investor/client relationships to help grow the business

  • Oversee tenant management team to ensure that tenant issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner

  • Implement, evaluate and continue to refine PPS’ proprietary 360 Management model 

  • Support our acquisitions and development teams in evaluating new properties and integrating properties into the portfolio

  • Supervise, manage, and lead all facets of company operations 

  • Mentor and guide junior leaders and team members

  • Provide detailed reports on company performance including profit and loss 

  • Develop and implement growth strategy 



  • Strong project management skills

  • Familiarity with property-level accounting and financial reporting

  • Understanding of small to mid-sized construction management

  • Proven small team managerial and leadership experience

  • Proven ability to proactively manage issues 

  • Highly effective problem solver with the ability to prioritize 

  • Demonstrated attention to detail 


Education, Experience and Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree required 

  • At least 5 years management experience 

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Buildium or other accounting software is a plus

  • Experience with property management and small-project construction 

  • Military background is a strong plus
